This week, it’s all about the plants! I’ve been collecting indoor plants for many years now, and I finally feel like my collection is on point. I found many of the plants I wanted to own, and they are all thriving. I’d like to think I’m doing something right, but to be honest, it’s probably just the great sunlight we have coming in!

Plants have been a huge relief while dealing with this concussion as they have provided beauty and comfort when all I could do was sit and look at them. Now that I can do a bit more, I painted them!

I selected 12 of my favourite plants and made them into small watercolors painting. It was really fun to look at the plants in detail and to figure out how to paint some of their leaves. I particularly enjoyed painting the Marantha!

I’m on YouTube!

I’ve been having a lot of fun filming my painting process and sharing short clips to Instagram, but I wanted to try and make longer videos. I’ve decided to make YouTube videos! I like having a different space to share and create content. Now, I’m not a video editing genius, but I like seeing the progress on an entire piece, and I hope you will too!

As a thank you for being on this reading list, you’ve got the first glimpse on my second video. I drew this croton plant, and it was so enjoyable!

I hope you will take a look, like and subcribe to my channel!

I just needed to make the indoor plants into stickers! I’ve started using them in my planner, and I’m enjoying them so much! They add such a nice freshness and life to everything!

I hope you will enjoy them too!

This week, I worked on some Spring designs. I really enjoyed working on smaller pieces and focusing on flowers and cuteness. It’s such a change after the three bigger pieces I worked on in February.

I’m preparing for a Spring market (more news on this soon!), and I still have a lot of work to do to be ready for it.

I paint each picture with watercolors and use some coloring pencils for details. After that, I scan and work on the pictures digitally if they need it. Then, it’s the fun part: printing the stickers!

I’m reading…

After visiting the Van Gogh exhibit last week, I realized that I really didn’t know much about this fabulous painter. I was deeply touched by his work, and I wanted to know more, so I explored the library and found the book Vincent and Theo by Deborah Heiligman.

It’s a really fascinating read. It is so touching to learn about Van Gogh as a kid and to see him struggle to find what he really wants to do in life. It’s also interesting to see how much he traveled and tried different professions. It’s also very impressive to know that he was fluent in many different languages. His relationship with his family, and in particular his brother Theo, is at the center of this book which gives a very personal point of view to this biography.  I’m not done yet, but so far, so good!

I really have a lot of fun creating new products for the store, and I hope you will have as much fun using them in your daily life!

This week, the first spring stickers are available both as a sticker sheet and as bigger individual sticker packs.

This week has been all about flowers. During the summer, I grow medicinal plants in my garden. I harvest, dry and transform them. It’s fascinating to learn about useful plants and to see them grow. It feels like the plants I grow from seeds are more potent than the ones I buy already transformed, but maybe that’s just me.

Anyways, as my plant cabinet grows and grows, I wanted to create labels that would make it easier to recognize the plants while also being pretty.
So, I painted 14 plants that I always have on hand and made them into stickers. It was a lot of fun painting them with watercolours and looking at beautiful pictures of fresh plants. I particularly enjoyed painting the lavender.

I’m watching…

This week, I thought I’d share a series that is perfect for any animal lover.

Netflix’s “Dogs” is a documentary series were each episode follows the relationship between one dog and its owner. It’s touching, cute, heartwarming and so inspiring.

Frankly, if you don’t want a dog before watching, you’ll want to rescue once you’re done!

As mentioned above, I worked on some beautiful plant labels. Once the watercolours were done, I scanned and edited them to make out stickers. Since I’m a huge fan of plants, I created two sets of stickers.

The first one contains smaller stickers that are perfect for decorating letters, planners or gifts.

The second set has bigger stickers that are meant to be used as labels for your tea tins or tincture jars. They would also make beautiful planner decorations.

I’m particularly proud of these sticker sets, and I hope you will enjoy them too!
