I am so happy to add this piece to my portfolio! I have been wanting to paint Vietnamese fruits for so long since I grew up eating some and also hearing about the incredible fruit markets of my mom’s childhood. I included some of my favourite fruits like mangoes and ramboutans. It was so fun to think about this bounty of fresh fruits! As it is the year of the Tiger, I decided to add a somewhat peculiar fruit merchant.

I used watercolours on watercolour paper for this painting. I spent 26 hours working on it.
