Cottontails and Columbine Flowers

Cottontail rabbits are so incredibly cute. Once, we had a family of them in our garden, and the baby cottontails are the most adorable things I’ve ever seen. It was such a pleasure to see them run around the yard! To celebrate (or conjure…) Spring, I thought I’d give them some beautiful columbine flowers. These flowers are so unexpectedly delicate and colourful! They are wild flowers here in Canada, and it is always such a treat to stumble upon them when hiking. They also make for great garden flowers.

For this painting, I used watercolours on watercolour paper.

If you like this painting and would like to support my work as an independent artist, it is available as a print and card in my shop.
