I’ve been working on a calendar project for 2023, and I’m excited to share each month with you. I think these paintings are some of my best work. They were all done in watercolour on watercolour paper and edited digitally.

For this project, I gave myself the theme of “A Year in a Canadian Forest”. I therefore only painted plants and animals that are native (or naturalized) to Canada.

October is always filled with the cries of Canada Geese. Each year, I wish I could fly away to the south with them. I like to imagine all the things they see during their travels, and why not a field of Marigolds?
