Well, hello!

I’m Anne, behind AnneSea Illustration. I am a self-taught artist based in Canada. My work is inspired by nature and fairy tales. I like to use different techniques and media to create art that inspires people to care for and protect our beautiful planet.

“One time, when I was working at a botanical garden, my boss told me that we can only care and protect things that we know. This is why I create art and stories inspired by nature: I want people to know the natural world, so that they feel inspired to love plants, animals and help protect our environment.”

” It took me a long while to realize that I love nature and creating art. Plants and animals have always been of interest, but it is only when I had a serious concussion and could not go on with my usual life that I truly understood that art was my calling. Using nature as a subject came as a given as it is an endless source of inspiration and beauty.”

When I’m not in my atelier creating beautiful art work or writing stories, I love making delicious food and eating Vietnamese dishes and fruits. I’m also the proud mom of a 17 years old rescue cat and of a cute calico kitten, and I share my passion for creativity with my woodworking partner that you can find on Instagram @ateliercreavin.
