I hope you are all doing well!
Our seedlings have started making flowers inside! For the last two years, we have had some flower even before they reach the garden. It is particularly enjoyable because we started these plants from seeds. It’s like an extra seal of success. They only have a few more days before they get to their permanent homes outside in the garden. I am very excited for the season to truly begin!
Here are a marigold and an eggplant flower that opened this morning:
This week, I gave the final touches on my forest painting, and it is done! I finished the Spring Forest Fairies painting, and it was such a satisfying piece to work on. I tackled my fear of backgrounds, and it was both exciting and rewarding to do so. I think I learned a few tricks and techniques with this painting, and that is always great. I also paid special attention to the composition, and I am so happy with how it turned out. I love the three little characters/fairies. I think they tell a story and add a touch of woodland magic to this forest scene.
I took a lot of process pictures. They are waiting for you in my portfolio.
Until next week,
Take care 🧡🧡🧡
Such a wonderful book! I loved discovering it, and I have not been able to put it away since.

It is the first week of May, and here is the April vlog! I share some of my process for the Spring Forest painting and birds, a lot of birds.
A small treat…
So . excited . for . this!
