I hope you are all doing well!

So, did you guess which fascinating plant-insect duo I was painting last week? Well, it was the incredible Monarch butterfly and Milkweed team! These two exceptional beings have a symbiotic relationship: the butterfly helps pollinate the plant, while the plant provides food for the caterpillars. It is truly incredible to learn more about this relationship, and it made the painting that much more fun and interesting. If you live in North America and have access to some land, it is a good idea to see which milkweed species is native to your area and to plant some! They have the most beautiful blooms and seed pods, which makes them attractive plants to have around the garden. Plus, who wouldn’t want to have the chance of seeing beautiful monarch butterflies?

Spring is finally here! Yes, it is still snowing, and yes some days are colder than what I’d like, but look! Tulips have started to show up, promising us incredible blooms and colours.

That’s it!
Until next week,

Take care 🧡🧡🧡
