I hope you are all doing well!
As I’m writing this, it is a lovely 11C outside, and my office window is wide open to let in air and light. It always feels so magical when springs comes back. Well, there’s still snow everywhere, but it is melting snow now!
This week, I created a new piece featuring the lovely poppy flower. Poppies are one of my favourite flowers. I ordered some poppy seeds that I cannot wait to place in our garden in a few months. I guess I wasn’t in the mood to wait, so I brought the flower to my atelier. I’m really happy with how the flower turned out. I was nervous about painting this very delicate flower, but it was a very relaxing and quite enjoyable process in the end. As always, it was very interesting and fun to research folklore and superstitions surrounding this plant. If you want to see more of this piece, it’s now featured in my portfolio.
And in case you were wondering, I’ve restarted my Icelandic sweater from the beginning. I think I’ve identify my mistake, and I really hope I’ll be able to move forward this time!
